non imbursement of refund amount by air deccan (India) I had booked three tickets (02 adults + 01 child)on air deccan flight No DN-519 from delhi to jammu tawi on 15 Jan 07. The date of journey was 15 Mar 07.However ,The flight was cancelled by Airdeccan due to carrirer's own operational problems and despite repeated request for rescheduling on any of the next airdeccan flights to jammu the call center people of air deccan insisted on additional payments contrary to the clause of rescheduling as specified in their terms and conditions on the ticket.Finally i had to cancell the tickets. Since the payment mode was thru credit cards i was given to understand that the amount will be refunded back into my credit card account within 30 working days. However almost 60 days have gone by since march 15, the said amount has still not been credited back to my credit card account. I have written to the air deccan authorities at bangalore but to no avail. The call center people keep tossing me from one person to another wasting my time and money.Though the refund amount may be peanuts for the airlines but it is a matter of honouring the terms and conditions laiddown by the carrier . They must not take people for a ride.No response is forthcoming on this matter even on their website. details of my woes are given below.
