Samsung "HomePad" Refrigerator

Samsung "HomePad" Refrigerator Hello,
On May 27, 2005 I purchased a $3,000.00 stainless steel Samsung refrigerator, model #RH2777 AT, the one with the LCD screen removable computer in the refrigerator door, and all these "state-of-the-art" amenities, from a local Best Buy. You can have satellite TV, play DVDs, display photos, etc., but evidently you can't expect it to cool or freeze food.
On May 03, 2007, the temperature reading for the freezer, set at 20', was blinking, and when I opened either door, it was room temperature inside the unit. The lights worked, the water dispensed, but I had ruined food, runny ice cream all over the freezer compartment, etc.
Going online and Googling, I did come across a blog that mentioned the same condition - where one temperature reading was blinking, but the unit had shut down. The consensus there was that the icemaker sensor had gone bad.
Well, I just had the authorized Samsung repair tech out, and it's not the icemaker, but the compressor that was burned out. Fortunately, the "guarantee" states that while there's a one-year warrantee on most items, that there is a 5-year warrantee on "Parts and Labor on Sealed Refrigeration System Only* " , where * refers to "Compressor, evaporator, condenser, drier, connecting tubing". However, evidently I am still liable for the service call of $102.12, plus they have to "order" the condenser, so I am without a refrigerator for some unspecified but undoubtedly annoyingly long period of time. I suppose I'll have to pay another hundred to have them come back to install the thing?
To sum up, the fridge I paid over $3000 for has burned out less than two years after buying it, and I am out over a hundred bucks, plus the cost of all the food I had to throw out, and the mess I had to clean up, plus I have no clear idea when I will ever have a working refrigerator again. Am I disenchanted? Frankly, I am about ready to buy that cabin in the woods with no electricity, phone or running water. Technology has become my enemy, and I realize I waste too many hours of my life doing nothing but trying to remedy non-working gadgets that are built with planned obsolescence and replacement in mind, and dealing with untrained or undertrained customer service reps who are probably inundated with similar tragic tales continually throughout each day.
There is not one single manufacturer of any product made - be it television, phone, computer, printer, fax, scanner, cell phone, stereo, car, camera, camcorder, or appliance that I don't have issues with. Nothing is made with any quality or integrity, all anyone is interested in doing is ASSIGNING BLAME ON SOMEONE ELSE instead of stepping up to the plate and doing the RIGHT THING. They cover their butts with fine print and asterisks to preclude whatever specific condition you find yourself subject to, so that they are blameless and not liable. Of course, if they designed and built items to work and last, there wouldn't be a need for all the red tape and fine print, but that would be too logical and sane.
I have been screwed over and over again, without even flowers or a dinner first, and truly I am fed up with the situation.
