iKitchens.com Internet Business--Kitchen cook ware, small appliances, etc. Placed two orders about $350 in value with iKitchen.com (Kitchen and Home) on 22 and 25 Feb 2007. Four (4) months later two items, a Zojirushi Rice Cooker, and a WMF Profi Potato Masher still had not been received--finally cancelled the order for the two unreceived items, the cancellation not yet acknowledged. Read the fine print and disclaimers on this company’s web site--if you do, I think you may think twice, you should, about ordering from them. They are not, do not come even close to, customer-centric as Nostroms not to mention most brick-and-motar establishments.
Another item, a Black & Decker Under-the-counter Coffee Maker that stopped working after it was installed and used for just 3 times--could not be replaced because it was past their ’14-day return limit”. Yes I did have it for past that period, stored for 2 months unpacked in carton because my condo was being renovated and not ready for occupancy. Rigid, not open to making exceptions, one is shuffled off to a person ‘in authority’ whose prime goal is not to truly weigh the merits of your request for an exception, but to wear you out--“call back in two days’; ‘still don’t have an answer from management, call back next week’ and so on.
My advice to all--do not deal with this company. Thru sheer number pushing, i found that if you press "11" when you first hear the recording, you will get a human Monday-Thursday. I've had no luck getting thru on Fridays. I was getting nowhere with emailing, but once I got a human and stuck to my guns, I got a refund in 48 hours. I too could not get a confirmation of cancellation. It arrived in late Feb. and I refused to pay for it and disputed with my credit card company. Ikitchens issued a return label and an RMA but I have not received a refund after 1 month. This company does not have a phone number so that you can talk to a real person. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!!! I canceled my order after a month due to a gross lack of communication and literally non-existant customer service. Now I'm hoping this "company" does not charge my credit card.
