complaint about Nissan USA, my 2007 Xterra and the dealership

I purchased a brand new 2007 Nissan Xterra from King Windward Nissan in Hawaii. The day after I picked up my car, I noticed a tapping noise coming from under the dashboard and the A/C fan motor was very loud. I returned the next day to complain to the sales manager but was intercepted by another sales person instead. I was told to see the service department instead. Once there, they were hesitant to look at my problem on the spot. They said they were booked and very busy. So from there, I made an appointment the following week to bring my car back in for inspection. At that appointment, they told me that I'll need to return two weeks later so they can keep my car for a longer period so they can thoroughly diagnose the problem. So again I agreed and brought my car back two weeks later. My car was left overnight and the following morning, they called to tell me they fixed the problem and I can pick up my car. After all of that, the problems still existed and I reported it again to the service manager. In addition, I noticed a blemish on the front windshield that is eye level to the driver. They found that blemish to be a defect in the windshield and ordered me a new one along with a new A/C fan motor. It's been three weeks and I have not heard from them regarding my replacement parts (they quoted me 7-10 days for the parts to arrive). I made a call into them today to follow up, but I feel my situation is not being taken seriously and customer service is being very lacking. Why must I call into them time after time to follow up? I expect proactive calls to me for updates. The tapping noise is still there and the service manager told me he will look into this the next time I'm there to replace the windshield and fan motor. Why wasn't this suggested before?

I filed a complaint with Nissan USA and requested a buy-back. It was denied. The regional rep, Scott Jax, did not offer more specific information as to why it was denied or what steps I can take from here other than "refer to your service manual". This is a complete lack of customer service especially on a repeat Nissan customer like me. I'm very disappointed, furious, and disliking Nissan, the Xterra I have, and King Windward Nissan (the dealership) at this point. I'm completely fed up with the product I purchased and the process it takes to service the customer.

I too have a Nissan xterra 2007 and i am wondering if anyone else has found a strange osscilation noise occurring when only the rear windows are opened and running at at least 20mph. I am interested in know if this occurs with all xterras and could possibly be a design flaw. The noise is unbearable and at higher speeds deafing and almost painful. I onyl found out after my kids were playing with the windows while on the interstate. I realize that i and many others probably dont ride around with only the rear windows or for that matter any windows open in a new car with working AC, but i believe thatthis may signal a potential air resistance problem or lead to unintentional ear damage due to the high and repeative frequencies of the sound. So far i have had confirmation of this type event by only a handful of people and need amuch large sample to confirm this event. Any replies would be helpful.
