Airline Consolidator BMD Travel BMD travel services – Airline consolidator January 2007, I have purchased airline tickets to go to from Sal Lake City to Allicante in Spain. Based on the airline tickets reservation I have purchased reservation in Spanish villa for 3 weeks, and invited my family and friends to spend time with me and my husband. We have not seen our families for 5 years, nor have we taken vacation for last 5 years. We where saving money for the trip we have dream about for a long time. Our travel time was from June 1st until June 22nd. May 15th, one of the airline companies have cancelled their flights, but I didn’t worry yet, because I know that there is a law protecting a customer, meaning if the airline tickets where validated, the company I have purchased tickets from must find me another flight. But Mr. Francis, manager of BMD travel has told me that he can only offer me a refund. What good is to me to get a airline ticket refund, when I have all ready paid the reservation in Spain, and my family and friends purchased their airline tickets to meet as in the Spain. But Mr. Francis said that is not his concern and all he can do is do the refund. New airline tickets where $1,000.00 or more expensive why not to get refund and purchase for more money what a deal for a BMD. Mr. Francis acted like a total jerk even to another ticket agency who tried to remind him what appropriate think to do is to get me another flight. But that is not the end of things. One week before the travel I had to purchase more expensive tickets, if I didn’t want to loose money for the reservations in Spain and all the other airline tickets purchased by my friends and family. Mr. Francis PROMISED that he will give me immediate refund on my airline tickets, meaning that I will get my money back within 3-5 business days. To my surprise 5 days later when I didn’t see any money coming back, he told me that the refund will take 6 -8 weeks! This was my spending money, because I had to purchase another set of airline tickets with my original spending money and thought that I will be able to have the money back from tickets as exchange! The BMD Travel is mean, nasty, and don’t care a bit abut customer at all. They have given me and to my family a grief for last 3 weeks, we are just not excited anymore to even go. We are suffering such an anxiety, in one point we didn’t even want it to go. How discouraging, how dishonest, and jerky, their actions are; there is no right for a customer, nor there is a care for a customer. Avoid their business if you can, save your self a sanity while you can.
