RE:SaveMyHusband.com CourtTV has begun airing a misleading advertisement portraying the wife of a kidnap victim pleading for help from the public to go to a website http://www.SaveMyHusband.com Which turns out to be a contest sponsored by Suzuki and Applebee’s.
What genius thought this up? In the age of terrorism and daily kidnappings in Iraq, they decide to create a gimmicky contest under the pretense of finding a kidnap victim?
I do not find the contest funny and the commercial could be confused as a genuine appeal for help from the public. It resembles the same type of plea's made by victims families directly to the media. This ill conceived marketing ploy should be pulled immediately. The network and sponsors should be held criminally liable for issuing a false report of kidnapping.
