I was referred to Blue Dot through my insurance company due to damage to my kitchen sprinkler from a fire in my home. I spoke with the customer service representative and I specifically told her: "I need my SPRINKLER FIXED and my water turned on". I also told her that the sprinkler was damaged due to a fire and that the water wasn't on due to that fact. I was already told (from a firefighter) that my water couldn't be turned back on until the sprinkler was repaired so I didn't need to pay someone $140 to tell me the same information that I received for free. The Blue Dot customer service representative made sure to tell me that there was a charge of $140 just for someone to come out but she didn't tell me that they didn't FIX SPRINKLERS!!! She also told me that the technician would be out by 1 p.m. I had to call and leave a message at 1:30 p.m. to see where the tech was at. I received a call around 3 p.m. from the office (NOT THE TECH!) telling me that the technician was on his way. The tech finally arrived at 3:28 p.m. and I immediately told him that I needed my sprinkler fixed- guess what he told me -THEY DON'T WORK ON SPRINKLERS!!!!!! He checked the water system to see if the water could be turned on which took a total of one minute and guess what he told me- you need a specialist to fix the sprinkler before the water can be turned on! He also told me to fill out the customer feedback form. He said "I'm sorry but I still have to collect the fee of $140 and you'll have to call the office to talk to somebody about the customer service rep". I paid the $140 because it was a verbal contract and I knew about the fee, but if the customer service rep would've told me that they couldn't help me then I would have called someone else. Unfortunately this happened on Memorial Weekend and I had to wait until Tuesday to speak to someone. After about three messages I finally spoke with Carmen who said that she needed to speak to the manager Nicole. Nicole never came in so Carmen said that she would call me on Wednesday. Carmen never called me so I called her and she told me that she would call me back. Carmen spoke with the manager Laura who offered me a $50 refund. Carmen said " You said that you needed your water turned on and the TECH diagnosed that the water couldn't be turned on and we provided you a service in your time of need, we have to charge you for the Tech coming there" I also told them that I needed my sprinkler fixed and that just happened to be the first words out of my mouth! She didn't care about the fact that the rep didn't tell me they didn't fix sprinklers she just wanted to justify robbing someone who is suffering. I would never refer Blue Dot to anyone! They will ROB you in your time of need!


P.S. I still had to pay someone $450 to fix my sprinkler!!!! Thanks Blue Dot!!!
