Trade Electronics Complaint

Trade Electronics Complaint My wife and I just started selling on eBay. We were testing the waters to decide if an at-home business was the way to go. After lukewarm success with our initial suppliers, we were contacted by a Representative from Trade Electronics Co named Karina, about a week after filling out a call-back form on their web site ( www.tradeelectronics.com). Our initial orders were small - 5 or 20 items valued at no more that $30 each. We were sent those items in a timely fashion, and sent price lists for popular products such as the new XBOX 360 Elite, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3. Most searches for the company produced what seem to be valid addresses, and a decent amount of online sites that offer their products. We assumed there were no reasons not to proceed with larger orders, plus I was able to see their branded products listed on eBay and other sites
We placed an order for 10 XBOX 360 Elites, and paid an additional $200+ for 2nd day air shipping. Due to an unrelated error by UPS, our cashier’s check was misplaced and we had to send a wire transfer for the amount. We had already started receiving orders and Bids from eBay and decided to order an additional 25 units to ensure we could fill all the orders. Within two days we received a tracking number from the company for what we thought were the first 10 XBOX’s we ordered – late but still in time to satisfy customers. The box that was delivered contained only headsets – made by Trade Electronics, not Microsoft. All attempts to locate our products have been met with elusive tactics by Karina, the only person we have been able to speak with regarding Trade Electronics company. That’s when I began to do in-depth research.
We have since found that Trade Electronics Co. is a fraudulent company, partaking in illegal activity by misrepresenting the nature of their business, the ownership and structure of the company, the company’s location, the products and services they can provide, and numerous other misgivings.
The only point of contact for the company, one Karina Knausederova, claims to be a sales associate, with no insight into the company’s finances when, in fact, she is listed as the President of the company in the only two Better Business Bureau listings for Trade Electronics. Several internet searches have turned up fraud reports with her name and the company’s name and address specifically, and each points out the same pattern of behavior I have witnessed.

I have been told by Karina that a refund can be issued, but not through her “department.” She insists that she is only an employee of the company, when public records say otherwise. The phone number on the invoices that the payments were derived from has been disconnected. The only in-service number listed for the company turns out to be Karina’s personal cell phone [786-274-3846]. I have no reason to believe that any other principals exist for this company.
I am now under an umbrella of suspicion from eBay and PayPal. We have provided this information to our customers, and started issuing refunds, but I do receive threats daily from some, vowing to have us arrested. We have cooperated in full with eBay and PayPal but, as of now we will have to take out a loan to refund customers’ purchases.
I can only hope that, at the very least, some follow-up calls will be made to verify the information I have given you. I am certain that any investigation into the business ventures of this Company will produce collaborating information.

Also what you can do legally. When buying electronics online you must be very very careful and never buy without doing research on them first. There are tens of thousands of companies similar to Trade Electronics Co. Electronics is a huge fraud problem today. Especially coming out of china. 99% of companies in china that sell this stuff are fraudulent companies. If there prices sound to good to be true then they are. Trade Electronics Co. prices are too low for these kind of items. You could not even buy them for that price straight from the manufacture. Low prices will be one of the first things you notice. If its at a price Ware you can say to yourself that you can axially get rich of of these items in no time at all. Then its 100% scam. Life will never be that easy. It is indeed impossible to buy those items anywhere in the world for those prices. Believe me I know! Google everything you can about the company you want to buy from. Check the BBB. Go to your states government website and find the link for businesses. Then find the "search for a business" link. Simply type in there full company name. If its a real ligament company then it will be their. All the companies info will be on record and you will have access to it. If it does not show up on your states website then go to the state that the company claims to be in and search on that states website. Do a reverse phone number check. Google there address and phone numbers. You can use that info to see if it matches the website contact info. If it does not match most likely its a fake company. Check "whois records" to see if phone and addresses match. Here is Trade Electronics Co. real name, phone# and address for anyone that wants to take legal actions. Think good long and hard before you buy. The products are not going anywhere. Lots of people will get exited about the prices and buy right away. Big No No! Most real and loyal companies also want you as a customer and they will have nothing to hide. Ask them for referrals of repeating customers that they have. Most companies understand the trust issues at the beginning of your relationship. In most cases they will not have a problem giving you the info needed to call there current customers. Why? because they have nothing to hide. If they refuse to give it to you then walk away. Do not buy anything. I can write a book on this but we have to move on. Just use common sense and always trust your gut feeling no matter what. If you need more advice I welcome you to contact me. Now what can we do to get our money from these scumbags? My personal preference is get there real address and take a road trip to there house. Then find them and smack the crap out of them with your favorite baseball bat. I do not recommend you doing it but it sure dose feel great. It is allot of work to get your money back. Most people don't have the time to do it. You can always give all your info to an attorney but that can be expensive. You will have to file many complaints with many organizations to help you. The more the better. After you do this they WILL literally be crapping all over them selves. Why? Because there will be so many federal companies looking for them to get answers. They will be very scared! How do we do that and who do we tell? To start! Contact the police that are in the same cities the companies are in and file a report. Also your local police. File a complaint with all these organizations listed below. Your united states senator office. Your united states congressman office The united states department of justice. The federal trade commissions (FTC) office. The securities and exchange commission. (SEC) The Internet crime complaint center. (IC3) Council of better business bureau. National consumer law center. The national white collar crime center (NWC3) This is just a few I do have more. If you need help locating there website than I can get you the links. I can give you about twice as many organizations that I listed. Write your complaint and make copies to mail to each office. Also make sure you follow up on it. They should contact you but if not call them. I cant guarantee you will get your money back but I can assure you that this will get there attention and in a hole lot of trouble. All these organizations WILL help you and WILL investigate and they WILL file charges and shut then down. I would love to sit here and give you more info to help but Its time for me to sign off. You can ask me questions and I will do what I can to steer you in the right direction. Be very careful buying anything online. You never know who you're dealing with. Good luck! I guess her newest is getting people to buy two Ipod touches for $77 with the the purchase of Tradelee accessories. It has been months now and we have gone back and forth. She accidently sent me an email that was meant for another person she is scamming. Luckily I am not in as deep as that person. But, I still want to seek justice. I have contacted my local police department and am going to get her. Does anyone have any advice or any new dirt on Karina? From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 22-Jul-09 14:24:22 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisThank you so much for posting this information. I was also contacted by Karina about a supposed job, updating "catalogs" and websites. I was sent an employment agreement, offering me $70000 a year, $17 an hour (which doesn't add up, the first red flag), also telling me I had to quit any other jobs I had (another big red flag). I reviewed her agreement, and googled her "company" finding your complaints. I politely emailed her back, giving her links to all of the complaints, and told her I would have to pass on her job offer. It's now August, 2008 and the web is flooded with ads for tradelee seeking to hire employees in almost every state. When I called, I thought they were insanely sketchy with their "call center" reps answering their phones. Whenever I tried to ask a few simple questions, such as "who works in your HR department?" and "how many employees does your company employ?" the rep would hang up on me. I did a little digging and found all of the complaints about the company. The woman may be in jail, but someone is still running the show with the high volume of current ads. Beware! The Company; tradeelectronics.com aka www.tradelee.org wants you to work for them and they offer a salary of up to 200K. That should ring a bell but for some people it takes a few more warning signs before they realize this is a scam. Karina Knausederova is her name and she will never pay you for the work you do for her website. Don't believe me? call her yourself and ask her what her last name is. She'll give you the run around if she thinks you can do the work she needs. 786-274-3846, 1800-319-3635, 1888-270-1170. It's amazing what people will do to take advantage. Turns out she's been scamming people for years, one guy even quit his full-time job to work with her. It's March of 2008 and I imagine she'll keep at it until she gets her business license revoked. Be careful people, she almost got me but I was one step ahead of her which mad her very angry. A word of advice to anyone who has lost money to this woman (or any other scam artist for that matter): let your local law enforcement decide what can and can't be pursued - don't decide for yourself that it's a losing battle. Turns out that Ms. Knausederova had been runnig this scam for a while. She was wanted in other states for the same thing and had bilked a lot of people out of thier money. You can see in their own Ripoff Reports that some of them had given up seeking justice. Through the hard work of the Warner Robins Police Department and the Disctric Attorney's office, we got back everything that was stolen from us. As a bonus, the culprit is in the system now, which guarantees that other victims can have justice as well - provided they take the time to pursue it.
