Target Visa Card

Target Visa Card Target National Bank P.O. Box 59317 Minneapolis, MN 55459-0317 To whom it may concern: I just got off the phone with Target Customer Service Supervisor ID#41426 and Customer Service Rep ID #9015 in regards to my Target Visa Card. I was wondering why my current balance is not going down even though I have been paying every month. (paying through bill pay on fixed date monthly). Today, Target Customer Service made me aware that the due date on my account is not a fixed date. It changes every month depending on the statement closing date--25 days cycle. According to Target Customer Service, I have been paying my account 2-3 days after the due date since January of this year. However, I am still considered a valued customer and they have increased my credit limit. How can I be a valued customer? They have charged me late fees in 4 straight months? This really make me angry that an account of less than $400.00 incured a late fees totalling to close $200.00. I tried to talk to them to waive some of the late fees since I am only 1 or 2 or days late and been paying more than the minimum payment. They are not allowed to waive any late fees except one time. I asked for the Supervisor and see if he or she can do something. The Supervisor is unwilling to waive late fees. He said, that is their policy and not able to change it. Target should deal with their customer needs on a case by case basis. I have other credit cards and their policy is NOT soo rigid like Target. They need to understand their consumers!!! CUNSUMERS SHOULD BE ALERTED OF THIS NON-FIXED DUE DATE!!! I am pretty sure I am not the only one that have this issue. Please let me know how I can make this experience public so NOT too many people get into this situation. Also with this experience, I will tell all my friends and families to STOP shopping at TARGET and shop at Walmart and other competitive stores. In addition, I will send them my final payment along with my cut-up visa card. Thank you for this website......and for any help you can give me. If I take a look at all my accounts, the due dates always change : - Hydro - Television - Internet - Cell Phone - Credit cards etc. The due date is slightly different on all of them, especially in March because February only has 28 days. You should look at your statement every month and ensure you pay by the due date - that's your only responsibility as a client - they agreed to waive one month for you, and that's very nice of them, because it's definitely out of their good will, they don't have to refund you anything. I understand your frustration, but you are at fault. Good day :) From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Sunday, 06-Mar-11 12:20:06 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisTarget and Target National Bank are famous for changing the terms of their contracts and than notifying the customer. They will just reduce your limits with no cause, probably some low level employee trying to get brownie points. My limit was lowered a few months ago and when I called and spoke to a supervisor I was told that someone who reviews accounts made a mistake, and she wanted to immediately increase the level to more than it was. This stuff all gets reported to the credit bureaus and even one day of a lowered limit can have a longterm impact on you FICO score. Stop using their cards or shopping there they went under once before and will probably do it again From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Saturday, 07-Feb-09 22:20:32 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI think this is totally the card holder's fault for not reading the card policy, and for taking for granted the due date every time the bill arrives,You need to be more responsible...
