Home Depot Rebate Scam

Bought a $450 refrigerator from Home Depot. Salesman said fill out form and get $50 rebate. Filled out form, included legible copy of receipt, sent same to Home Depot. Got post card from Home Depot denying the rebate saying the item didn't qualify. Either salesman lied or Home Depot doesn't want to pay up or both.
