Omnicity / ISP, internet

Omnicity / ISP, internet Located in INdianapolis, IN We endured the horrible service of Omnicity Internet for a full year, and now we are FINALLY through with them. We needed a always-on internet for our work, and unfortunately they were our only option during that time. We had daily outages, pathetic speeds, horrible customer support. They lied to us constantly on the phone to simply get us off the phone. The speeds are a total joke. Our service would drop on a regular basis. We lost our service anywhere from 10 mins to several hours on a daily basis 7 days/week. We were promised credit on our account twice, that never happened. The price is outrageous for what you get. We are now with another ISP and get speeds that are 6x faster than Omnicity, and have yet to have an outage or a problem in the 3 months we have been with them so far...all for HALF the price of what we were paying for Omnicity's worthless service. If you have a service problem and try to call them, they will put you on hold and usualy just hang up on you. And if you try and call after 6pm, they aren't even there. The recording ask you to leave your name and number and they will get back with you. Well, they never once called us back after dozens of calls. To speak to anyone, we had to call directly to Indianapolis and byapss the toll free number, and then demad to speak to someone. Some customer support. We never once got anywhere near the speeds we paid for. We were lucky to get half. During some days, we were lucky to get dial-up speeds. We were told by their "support" people that it must be our computer, and then it must be our location, and then they simply wouldn't ackowledge a problem at all. Well...we have a brand new computer, we live less then a half mile from the tower, and we work on computers for a living. So we knew it was not a problem on our end, it was them. They just will never admit it no matter what. Bottom Line: stay away from Omnicity unless you want to deal with a daily hassle and daily outages. _________________________________________________________________ PC Magazine’s 2007 editors’ choice for best Web mail—award-winning Windows Live Hotmail. http://imagine-windowslive.com/hotmail/?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGHM_migration_HM_mini_pcmag_0507 From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Thursday, 17-May-07 13:58:07 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI am in exactly the same situation.
