Academy Collection Services

Academy Collection Services is a company that encourages their employees to be rude, insulting, hostile and verbally abusive in order to retrieve money. And they don’t care who they attack, even if it is someone who owes them nothing. Anyone who is employed at this company should be ashamed to work at such an morally corrupt business.

My husband and I began receiving phone calls from them asking us to forward their messages to his ex wife who, as it turns out, owes them money. When I returned that first phone call to inquire who they were and how they got our phone number and name, the insults began. They never offered any explanations, only accusations and hostility toward me. I have been yelled at, insulted, falsely accused, and berated. I was left feeling violated. I got right on the phone to the local police department who directed me to the phone company and then finally called the Better Business Bureau and filed a formal complaint against them. We continued to receive phone calls from this company and each time I have attempted to explain that we are not the people they are looking for, they continued to use bullying tactics to intimidate and coerce us into notifying my husband’s ex-wife to contact them. It doesn’t make any difference to these people that they are in the wrong and that legally, they don’t have any grounds to act in this manner.

If someone were accosted on the street, they would have the protection of law enforcement personal and the right to see justice served in our judicial system. I think that our law makers should be more involved in protecting people from this kind of assault that occurs in their own homes. These people are criminals and should be held accountable for their crime.
