Vonage phone services I switched my phone service to Vonage phone services about 5 months ago. I was excited to be saving money on my phone bill. I was especially excited that their plans Included International calls.
I had a situation where I needed to make an international call to Italy but first I called Vonage to get the specifics. I actually I gave them the phone number I was going to call and asked for the correct way on how to call the number. I also ask for assurance that the call was free. Not only did the representative assure me that the call was free but he went on to explain to me how to call the number.
Two months later I get a bill for all the calls made to Italy. I called into customer service to inquire about the charges. This is when I found out how dishonest and unkind Vonage could be to their clients. The 1st day I was told I was going to get a refund three time but then I would be transferred and the eventually hung up on. I finally reached someone who said they were a supervisor but did not have the authority to give me the credit ( which is a lie). she told me I would have to e-mail the request for a credit through my Vonage account.
I requested the Vonage credit account by e-mailing through my account but was met with a returned e-mail from customer service responding as if they had not even read my complaint. I e-mailed them back to let them know I was aware of the fact that they had not read my complaint based on their response. they responded by e-mailing me and asking me to call in and speak to a customer service representative which I had already done for two days with no results.
Vonage does not have any type of customer service because it seems as if all the representatives are trained to lie and transfer people to get rid of them. they do not stand by their products or the lies told by their reps.
