Microsoft Xbox 360 / Support

Microsoft Xbox 360 / Support Microsoft Xbox 360 Support The problem is there isn’t any. Oct. 9th 2006: Placed a call into Xbox 360 support for troubleshooting of frozen system. Since the item was manufactured and purchased in 2005, it was under warranty as apparently units produced for release were known to have issues. Absolute pristine physical condition and pictures to prove; just was not functioning. I received Microsoft’s pre-paid UPS box, which I might as well had just wrapped in plastic wrap, and sent the unit back – after checking to see whether or not I could send it back in original packaging which I had saved, and being told it wouldn’t be accepted. Received the unit back 1 week later, and was utterly disgusted. I opened the box up and took the unit out. Plastic parts came rattling out and there was a note included saying that this was the condition the unit was received in, and I had tampered with it, therefore the warranty was void. A preposterous idea seeing how I had the unit and knew enough to call technical support, was told it was under warranty, and then was suspected of opening the unit! Went back and forth, always having to call because they never made any attempt to contact me, went through a UPS claim, and it was said there wasn’t enough documentation to support the claim. Here it is 5 months later to the day, and I just found out that there is nothing they can do, and I must purchase a new unit to play the several unwrapped games that I received for Christmas 2006. I think I’ll return them, and not buy a new unit. Bottom line is, they are Microsoft, and it would be impossible to boycott all of their products -and many of them are outstanding, but they need to pay closer attention to their consumers who, after all, built them into what they are today. A dissatisfied, pissed off customer. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 09-Mar-07 13:56:15 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
