BT Total Broadband My Broadband has dropped in speed dramatically from my original 5.5mb to what is now just over 1.9mb, I the 5.5mb dropped to around 3.7mb after 3 months then 2 months later it has dropped to 1.9mb. I have been in contact with BT several times, through to the helpdesk then the line fault line and now im on to engineers with no luck and no change yet. The only problem with all this is the employees who work at the help desks just sound like they just reading from a manual and not knowing nothing about it. I have been told to wait a further 48 hours to see if there’s any change(again!), but no one else who has broadband from the same exchange is having difficulties and I’m thinking wether I would be able to cancel my contract as im paying more now than I was when I was on the original BT Broadband and that was a faster speed. I've got a business line with 3.5mb and a BT Home hub with 1.7mb both on the same cable entering the house from the same exchange. I think its the BT infrastructure at the exchange and that they "resell" to other customers thus diluting your service. Thats illegal surely !
