Sears Kenmore Dishwasher service

Sears Kenmore Dishwasher service This happened with the Sears repair department. It’s an 800 number so I have no idea where I was calling. I live in Anchorage Alaska. We had a dishwasher installed and 2 days later, before we had even used it, it developed a leak. The leak was so bad it ruined the flooring of our kitchen and was threateningly to the hard wiring for the appliance as well as electrical wiring in the ceiling below. When I called the repair department they said the earliest they could come out would be the next day. I explained to them the urgency of correcting this leak because of electrical issues and with the possibility of an electrical fire I was stunned when they said they would not re-schedule a technician to come out to our home that day. I asked them what they would do when our house burned down and the person calmly stated that he would be happy to transfer me to their claims department. But then when I was transferred, the claims department never answered their phone nor did they have voice mail. So the upshot is that Sears would rather pay, if you were able to get a hold of anyone in claims, $250,000 for a house fire than re-schedule a technician for a priority call. Luckily I still had the installer’s phone number in my cell phone and called him. With further luck he was able to come right out and fix the leak.
