collection agency - FICKA & ASSOCIATES , NEW WORLD MEDIA

Greetings,

September 2006 I contacted (FICKA & ASSOCIATES 11310 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Suite 137, Orlando, Florida) to collect three bad debts. They said they would charge 30% of whatever was collected.

They began receiving money from my debtors October 2006. As of today, March 7, 2007, they have not sent my any money. They keep making excuses. They are defrauding me of money collected. I have been dealing with Stephen Scheckman. I have reported them to the BBB, Postal Fraud, Insurance Regulators (they regulate Collection Agencies), Fraud Unit of AG-Florida, etc. I have sent them demand letter for money and letter to cease collecting on my behalf.. Still no money received. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! Rev. Sandra Jewell

JANUARY 2007 RADIO PROGRAM had program to help you raise credit score, eliminate debt in short time for $9.95. I received the program in February. It was not more than what I am already doing. They guaranteed innovative techniques. NOPE! I returned the product after receiving an authorization number. I have call them since February 5 to have them refund the $9.95 to my bank account. Only received recorded messages. THE COMPANY: NEW WORLD MEDIA PROGRAM: TRANSFORMING DEBT INTO WEALTH SYSTEM.

JUST USED COMMON SENSE. THEY HAVE NO INNOVATIONS. Rev. Sandra Jewell

THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO.. YOU MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!

MS. REV.

Transforming debt into wealth does not have innovations. Their advice is to pay your minimums and pay off one card at a time. Duh. I received their package with the "no risk offer" for $4.95 shipping and cancelled it right away. The package contained several notebooks that would cost me about $13 to ship back. I asked for a return sticker and they refused to pay for return shipping even thought what they sent was not as advertised. They charged my credit card $49.99 every month and I disputed the charge every month. I received a notice from New World Media that I owe them $149.96 which I ignored and have now received one that says I owe $199.96 which I can settle for $99.96 - what a deal!! Hardly a "no risk offer" The invoice has no phone number and the website contact number does not work. The box is still in my kitchen waiting for them to send me a pick up slip. Stay away from this company - they are transforming your debt into their wealth!

After having my check garnished not once, but twice because a company mislead me into thinking one of my bills was paid in full when in fact it wasn't..my check was garnished because I believed in that companies lies and ignored the bills.."they'll see their mistake don't bother with the bill it has been paid they just haven't received the payment yet" so my $10,000 debt was placed in garnisment..I paid off all I could at once $2000 then I tried to make payment arrangements they wanted $1000 a month I could only afford $300 they refused my offer and garnished my check for $600 a month..that $8000 debt was garnished into $10,000 and now I am being garnished for more money coz now they say I owe them interest..last week I had $27 left for food, the week before that $7, this week $0 we skip breakfast every morning and eat a sandwhich once a day for the entire week to get us through! Assholes like you could care less whether we have food on our table..I'm glad to see you got what you deserved..I hope they continue to take money grubbing immoral panti wastes like you to the cleaners..you could care less whether we have money or not for food so why should I care whether they take money from you..I was fully willing to make payments, but my offer wasn't good enough so now my family only eats once a day..I just hope one day you're down to one measly sandwhich a day and when you are I hope you choke on it!!

hey,

don't you know, very few companies ever refund your shipping and handling to get something out to you? Use some common sense since you have so much of it and realize this. Did they promise you they would, I DOUBT IT!! To be honest with you I would never even have considered asking for a refund of something so small as 9.95 anyway!

i contacted you regarding a debt of three thousand dollars from Peter Butler 29 Eton Ave Warwick Rhode Island. You said you were able to handle the case and you notified him of litigation . Then you emailed me and told me he flatly refuses to pay and you can do nothing more. What happened to the litigation? He has the ability to pay. I suspect he threatened you, as he has done to others, including police, as he has a criminal history. This was most unfair to me, dropping the case like that. If i flatly refused to pay anything here I,d be getting a summons for sure.

My Experience with Ficka & Associates

We are a small business and had our first unfortunate situation of a non-paying customer about 6 months ago...something I suppose will eventually happen to all businesses.

I was searching online and found the Ficka & Associates website, www.usacreditrecovery.com and thought I'd give them a try. What a massive mistake! I was originally dealing with a Stephen Scheckman who was a fast talking sales guy who I decided to go with simply because he called me everyday for a week. Apparently he was fired the day after signing me up....first bad sign.

A little while after signing up my client contacted me and wanted to make arrangements to pay after all, so I contacted Ficka & Assoc repeatedly for a month to figure out how to work that. No one ever responded to my calls. Then, I called to speak with the manager who told me to forward my emails and info to him and he would take care of me. Never got back to me......

As a couple months went by I more or less wrote off Ficka & Associates...they claim to call and give you a monthly report on the status of your collection. Yea, they call every month alright....a new person calls every time with no idea about your account trying to get more business from you. They kept calling and I kept telling them how bad they were...4 times they called and 4 times I told them the story. Every single time they apologized and said they would look into it and get right back to me...yea ok.

Then about 2 months ago, they called me to inform me that they couldn't collect on the debt and that the account would be canceled and tried to get more business. I told them no thanks, and figured that would be the end of my relationship with "just another bad company."

1.5 Months ago they call me and out of the middle of nowhere give me an update on that debt collection.... as if they were still trying to collect on it. I told them they called and canceled the account over a month ago, and sales person told me that wasn't on the computer. I told her about my terrible experience with them and that I didn't want the account reinstate...we hung up and I was just speechless.

A week later I received a bill in the mail telling me that because I canceled the account I would be billed!

I called and asked to speak with a manager. The sales women and I had it out on the phone because she lied for a while and told me there was no manager. Until I told her what happened, that I was contacting the Better Business Bureau and that I wouldn't pay anthing..then I was put in touch with the manager.

They put me on hold for fifteen minutes, they he gets right on the phone and he accused me of trying to scam them out of money! Didn't listen to a word I said and kept interrupting me while telling him my experience, and told me that they have lawyers working for them and it would be quite easy to throw my bill in with their collections!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing!

Then after explaining to him again that they called and canceled the account he told me I couldn't prove that. Then I pointed out their claim that if they can't collect a debt, they don't charge anything. He responded with "HOW DO YOU EXPECT US TO COLLECT A DEBT FROM SOMEONE WITH NO MONEY?"......ummmm does anyone see anything wrong with this? He then said "our bottom line is you're going to pay us one way or another"....he actually said those words!

He then told me if I gave them more business he might waive the fee....luckily I have no non-paying customers so I told him to reinstate my "canceled" debt to make this go away which he eventually did!

I have never had such a bad experience with a company to prompt me leaving a lengthy online report of what happened.

In all my life of being in business I have NEVER dealt with such poor customer service, rudeness on the part of ALL employees including management, or an overall sense that Ficka & Associates is ONE BIG SCAM.

Unfortunately before realizing what they were I referred an associate over to them to collect a debt, and he is dealing with a similarly disgusting situation.

I will be reporting these guys to the Better Business Bureau and hope that someone shuts them down someday. In my free time I plan on sharing this story on every credit/business report website I can find!

Moral of the story is STAY CLEAR of Ficka & Associates...aka usacreditrecovery.com and William Ficka. This is one SHADY business!
