A&E Factory Service/Whirlpool

I wasted a day waiting for a repairman from A&E Factory Service to repair my brand-new, out of the box, Whirlpool refrigerator I purchased from Lowes in south Orange County, California as the ice maker has never worked. I was scheduled a window of 1:30-5:00, and received a call at 3:30 in the afternoon (while I was home, but in the restroom) and was left a message by the repairman that stated that I have an appointment to provide service and I'm not home. Call A&E for a reschedule. Click. No return phone number. No "call me back within the next few minutes if you are home." No courtesy whatsoever. I tried calling Whirlpool and A&E both right away, and after a cumulative 25 minutes on hold, they both tried to get a hold of him to no avail. The final response I received was the repairman had already left for the day and I'll have to set up another appointment on another day. No apologies from the manager at A&E either, simply stating that the technician followed procedure. No offer of having another technician out that day. I am absolutely appalled at how unprofessional this company is. I filed a complaint with Whirlpool and will never again seek the services of A&E.... Lynn
