Sears Kenmore Ranges

Sears Kenmore Ranges Bought Kenmore Glass top range, which shattered while installer tried to install it. Seeing that, I told Sears to order me a $749 dollar coil type for a replacement. They quickly did that and charged my credit card for the replacement, but have not as yet given me the credit for the "over $1000" glass top return! . The coil model came today and was installed by someone who knew nothing about stoves(Sears does not have their own installers anymore, they hire it out! ) The stove being smaller than the depth of the old stove, would not fit into the space of the current counter top and the extension that came with the stove was two inches too short in width and didn't match the width of the stove. After he left I tried to move the stove (slide in type) and the control panel snapped and broke into two places. Sears is peddling inferior merchandise of late. I can say that the breakage was my fault, but come on, you order a stove and the control panel is hard plastic? Give me a break.....I am going to write off the $800 dollars because, while I could get the control panel fixed for a couple of hundred dollars, I would still have a cheap product. I am going to redo the counter top but put another stove in that is not make of plastic! The 6 inch side panels and the storage drawer are nothing but thin pieces of tin painted white. Sears, never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 31-Mar-07 02:10:25 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
