Mitsubishi 54 inch TV and lamp On September 17,2006, I purchased a Mitshubishi wide screen television and a warranty from Pacific Sales in Corona, CA, USA. On March 29, 2007, approximately six months after I purchased the TV, the lamp inside of the tv burned out. My son, who was home because of a work holiday called me at my job and informed me of the problem. He first tried to call Pacific Sales, but had to wait until the store opened at 10:00AM. Pacific Sales referred him to Mitsubishi. After being placed on hold for quite a long time he was transferred from office to office. When he contacted the customer service office located in the Phillipines, the female technician attempted to help him over the phone and finally told him that the lamp blew out and he needed to contact the parts dept which is located in the state of Georgia-USA. By the time he was able to get through without a busy signal the office was closed because Georgia is in a different time zone from California. When I arrived home from work it was 3:30PM. Because it was a Friday and the parts dept in Georgia wouldn't be opened until Monday every number I called at the Corporate /Parts dept in Irvine, CA told me that I would have to wait until Monday to call the parts department in Georgia, then fax them my contract and the part would be delivered four to five days after receipt of the paperwork. Now my complaint is it didn't take 4 to 5 days to charge $2,825.89 to my credit card. If Mitsubishi was so concerned about keeping their customers satisfied, someone would have called Pacific Sales and allowed me to get the part from the business I purchased the TV from or provided me with another business in my area where I could have received the part. I could go on, but I'll spare you. In short Mitshubishi is comprised of a bunch of lying, non-caring employees with faulty products and a company with a culture of "passing the buck".
