DHL--- WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK--DO NOT SHIP DHL

I used DHL online to mail a less than 1 pound income tax return from San Antonio, Tx to San Diego, CA. I was quoted $22 for the package. I used my debit card. The transaction did not show up on my bank account for 3 days, and I was charged $53. Since the bank had only got the request for the amount, I contacted DHL and explained they more than charged me double, and asked for them to resubmit the correct amount. They refused. Their excuse is that their system could not do that. Well, if thats the case they are outdated. Numerous companies will do a correction before the charge is processed. Anyways, after $53 was withdrawn from my account, I contacted DHL at least 5 times about my refund, they keep sending me to different people, and say my bank has not payed them.. It has been over 2 months.

Additionaly, I work with a large organization that has DHL as a contract carrier, and on numerous occasions we have been chaged for other companies with similar account numbers. It is a hassle to correct. I believe the only reason we get it corrected is that our company is the federal government. Not to mention almost on a daily basis we get packages addressed to different addresses, in which there is no similarity in street names or numerical indication.

I SUGGEST TO AVOID DHL AS YOUR SHIPPING OPTION. CHANCES ARE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I have used DHL three times to ship heavy packages for eBay to save money.I used their online print shipping label program and kept the receipts The first time I was quoted 29 dollars to ship ground, my credit card was charged 86.00 they said they shipped air by accident. It took two months and 10 - 15 phone calls.

The second Time I was quoted 26.00 and was charged 54.00 I did a credit card complaint faxed the paper work to the cc company and received a refund within a week.

The third time, same type of overcharge, I was told that an investigation would take three weeks and I will be notified. I asked them how it was shipped and what the eight was and all was as I ordered I am just going to call the credit card company to get a refund but am tempted to wait to see what there lame excuse they have for this overcharge because I doubt they will issue a refund.

Google DHL sucks to see more stories.
