Maytag dependability plus

I am disgusted with Maytag Dependability Extended Warranty Plus.

I called for service on my dryer and was told that my Warranty was suspended due to a past due balance. I told her that I had proof of it being paid in full, I was told to fax the proof to the Maytag Supervisor, which I did. I called them to see if they had received my fax and was told that the Supervisor was 'too busy to check the fax machine and that no one else was authorized to check it'. I was told that I would receive a call the next morning telling me if they did or did not receive them. At 11:30 the next day, I called then and was put on hold for 18 minutes. Then I was told that the Supervisor had many. many, many faxes to go through and that they would call me within the next 48 to 72 hours to let me know if they received it or not. He said there was a note in my file that said I was told that I would be called this morning but now it would be 48 to 72 hours. I stated that time frame puts me into NEXT week and asked if I could talk to his Manager. He said that the Manager would just put me on hold again and then would just tell me the same thing.

I have NEVER dealt with any company that is as unprofessional and unreliable as Maytag. I have paid close to $600.00 for Extended Warranties on my Maytag appliances BUT I will NOT do it again. They are NOT the company they use to be! I will be calling the Better Business Bureau to file a claim against them.

I want to get the word out to everyone who owns a Maytag appliance.......DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN THE EXTENDED WARRANTIES THAT THEY OFFER!!!

Better yet, don't even buy a Maytag to begin with!!!
