Paula Adcock - La Bella Roma Spa d'Italia

Paula Adcock - La Bella Roma Spa d'Italia

This is in reference to La Bella Roma Spa d'Italia, formerly located in Dunedin, FL:

Because of an accident and further health problems this year, I had been unable to use a gift certificate that my daughter sent me for a massage at La Bella Roman Spa d'Italia, 310 Monroe Street, Dunedin. In early November 2006, well before expiration, I tried contacting the salon to set up an appointment and repeatedly got the voicemail system. I left messages but had no response. I stopped in there on November 17 and met Paula Adcock, who said she was the owner. Initially I asked for a printed list of services and was told "we're at the printer right now." I then tried to book an appointment and was told by her that she would get in touch with the masseuse, who would contactly me directly. She also said she would send out the brochure when she received copies from the printer, took my contact information, we shook hands, and I left. When no one called me, I tried calling the salon, only to learn that the number had been disconnected. I then drove over there and saw that the building was empty. Being lied to by someone pleasantly shaking my hand and reassuring me about an appointment bothers me as much as losing the $85 massage.

Although the spa is closed, I thought it might be good to file a complaint here, on the chance that someone might want to check under the owner's name, Paula Adcock.
