Chase Bank

Chase Bank My mother has Alzheimer's, and not too long ago, she fell prey to Chase Bank, and accepted one of their credit cards. She made a few purchases, and the finance charges began racking up. Thanks to Alzheimer's, she didn't remember making the purchases or even having the card, so she didn't pay, and late fees also started accumulating, the acconut went into default. Fair enough. But ... she's since been put into assisted living, and I sent them a copy of my POA to handle her affairs. I have spoken with Chase and agreed to make payments per the payment plan that they claim had been arranged with her, although I can't see how a person who doesn't remember or acknowledge owing any money would agree to a playment plan. Although the payments per this "plan" are up-to-date, Chase continues to call here every day, four, fove, sometimes six times a day, asking to speak to my mother, although if I had a penn for every time that I've hadto tell them that she is not in the house and that I'm handling her afairs, I'd be a billionaire seemingly many times over. The payments are up-to-date, another one isn't due until the first of the month, so why do they continue to call and harass me about the? They argue with me to try to get me to pay the bill - even though I've told them over and over and over again that her bills are paid from her social security and retirement income on the first of every month ... one of their minions even wanted me to write them a check from my personal account, even after I told them that I don't have that much in my account! They are rude and obnxious, bottom line, severly irritating. I'd advise anyone with a Chase card to cut it up now, because you never know when you'll have to miss a paymet or two and Chase will become your worse nightmare!
