US Airways Lost Luggage

Dear Complaints.com,
I want to warn others of the incompetence of USAirways in handling checked baggage, although this is a well-known fact apparantly. On March 11, 2007, I flew from Pittsburgh to New York’s LaGuardia airport. Upon arrival my bags were missing. Generally, I’m a pretty laid back guy and will let people correct their errors. However, this airline tries my tolerance. Their 1-800 number puts people on hold for over 15 minutes or more, before picking up. It goes to a call center in Guatemala with people who have no ability to contact anybody who can do anything useful. All they can do, apparantly, is leave a message with airports asking them to call us back, which the airports rarely do. When I asked for a phone number to the LaGuardia baggage center, they said they didn’t have one. Their customer service in this respect is horrible.
