Ramona bedroom set/ Furniture company... business name: Giovanni Turano (www.turano.com) Location: 1532 S Washington Ave Piscataway, NJ 08854 Detailed complaint: I purchased a new bedroom set on February 4th, 2007 directly from a Turano representative (Michael Serato) at the Kem Expo (kemexpo.com). The set had marble on all the pieces (bed, bed posts, dresser, nightstands, armoire). Michael had confirmed that if anything was damaged on delivery the driver would make note of it on the receipt and would redeliver new pieces or fix the damage if it was fixable. During the first delivery they opened up the armoire and saw that it was damaged so they took it back but left other pieces in their boxes and said that they will be set up when they return with the armoire. The second delivery was about a week later (2/14/07) and they set up the armoire but the armoire door had scratches and they noticed that the marble on all the other pieces (dresser, nightstands, bed) was damaged so they made a note of it and gave us a copy of the receipt. They did not set up those pieces (bed, dresser) that had the broken marble. For about a month since the second deliver date we had made over a dozen phone calls to the company, and called/emailed Michael Serato, but were completely ignored. They had claimed that they delivered everything in full and there were no damages according to their copy of the receipt. We have the receipt from the 2/14 delivery to prove the damages. About a week ago I contacted Michael to inform him that I will be filling a complaint if they did not resolve this issue and he informed me that they will redeliver the furniture this week. They had arrived on 3/19/07 for the third time and replaced a few of the damaged pieces. The dresser and bed posts are still missing the marble, the bed/dresser are not set up, the armoire door has scratches. The drivers refused to leave the receipt from today's delivery. The furniture continues to stand in the condition that they left it in for over a month now and as a result my mother can not move into her apartment. We can not rent out our basement apartment in which she lives temporarily until we get this fixed.
