Please resolve DSL & billing Issue

Dear Sir/Madam,


 


I am a current customer of att services. I have a few questions and complaints to discuss. After being effortless to find a customer complaint service email on the www.att.com website I finally found this email to write about my issues.


 


I had a service plan with att as follows :

AT&T Local Services $41.04

At&T Long distance Services $1.91

At&T Internet Access Services $29.95

Total $72.90


I had the above plan on the following address and phone # :

I moved from the above address starting March 1st 2007 to a new adress and requested att to move my same service with the same plan to the below address:

Deer Park

I received a new phone # 631 243 0625 from customer service.


 


As I had repeatedly requested customer service, technical service, provisioning guys whom I had to talk with almost 3 hours 3 times a week since March 4th 2007 to keep my plan and services same as I had before with no additions or changes.


 


Since then My phone line was working effective March 2nd 2007, and as I was told that DSL would start in 5 working days. After waiting for 5 business days, I called att worldnet services to enquire about my internet service which in turn asked me to call Verizon Telephone records department to update my records, which I do not understand why, since I never had any services or contract with Verizon and nobody from ATT ever communicted to me that I would have to call Verizon.


 


After that the Provisioning department at ATT finally told me that I do not have to call verizon now and apologised for their not communicating with me and the inconvenience and thereby again told me that my DSL will again take another 5 days to start. So by this time I am already without DSL for mor than 2 weeks.


 


After this I received a DSL modem on March 16, 2007 which I already had from ATT from my previous service.


So now I have two identical DSL modems but no DSL connection.


 


On March 17, 2007 I received my first bill on my new address i.e. 210 Homer Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729 stating the moving fees, $65 my Local services charge $41.95 (which is supposed to be $41.04 as


per my previous plan) and I also got an additional charge of Local Services of $8.39 (which I do not understand and I did not request for any such extra service), and this Bill does not have any mention of the DSL service which is supposed to be in my plan.


 


I do not have a clue of how am I being billed by ATT and whats happening to my ATT Worldnet High speed Internet (DSL). Also I am tired of calling the customer service department and being on hold forever and when speaking to a customer service representative I have to explain each and every detail to everyone I speak who in turn direct me to someone else and finally land me on hold for hours.


 


I would like to have an explanation to all this since there is no communication from ATT regarding my DSL service for which I had taken this plan, I am out of Internet which is affecting my work causing me loss of time and inconvenience.


 


Please get back to me on this issue, I am reachable on 646 508 7028 after 5:30 pm weekdays.


 


I have also attached a copy of this complaint to Federal Communications Commission for records.
