Cheating by Sify Broadband Following is the complaint logged on on Sify Broadband site. The complaint is closed by Sify without attending. They say that they are not responsible for the commitments of their sales representatives. This shows that Sify is only interested in selling connection but does not bother to attend customer complaints.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Subject : Cheating of customers by Sify sales representatives.
I am a Sify broadband user with user id “sanjaysdighe” using your network for last two months. Your sales representative Mahesh – mobile no 9850732987 sold the connection to me @ Rs 410 per month & installation charges of Rs 1500.
It worked on well for two months, however for this month’s renewal the cable operator, Mr Dsouza – mobile no 9867354039 is demanding Rs 510. On my refusal to pay this additional Rs 100, he says that he is not responsible for what has been committed by Sify representative and if I have any problem I should take up directly with Sify. On my asking the refund of Rs 1500, he has offered me alternative connection of your competitor.
This clearly shows cheating of customers to sell the connections and it appears that Sify has no control on their so called representatives or Sify is supporting these fraud practices. I even registered a complaint on your customer care number. The complaint number given to me is 4779179.
Note that such incidences are spoiling the name of Sify in the market and it is assumed and understood that Sify is supporting such fraud practices to sell the connections. You representative Mahesh is not even lifting the mobile on my calling.
I expect an enquiry and action in this matter and a feedback of this. Also I want to have my Rs 1500 refunded as these have been taken from me by giving false information & commitment.
