Nobel.com Rips people off with their Phone Cards WARNING on Nobel.com's RIP OFF PHONE CARDS!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! This is to INFORM & WARN unsuspecting customers about Nobel.com's OVER-CHARGING $$ on their advertised Phone Card low rate calls. Yesterday ( March 15, 2007) I purchased a $20.00 Phone card from Nobel.com's website for their advertised 8.9 cents per minute. Made 3 calls totaling 35 minutes. May balance went SHOCKINGLY down from $20.00 to $8.00 !!! That's .34 cents per minute not as advertised 8.9 cents I purchased. Customer said what I bought was for landline calls and not cell phone. Their website just put tiny link (no pics) on cell phone calls. I just found also they they charged me another $2.00 for not purchasing their $40.00 card. Total cost on 35 minute call = $14.00 !!! Requested to have my remaining $8.00 to convert to Call cell phone card at the rate of 11.64 cents per minute. I paid extra $12.00 to to purchase the $20. call cell# phone card. I was told also of their advertised savings of 56%. when I use local access number. Today ( March 16, 2007 ) with the new $20.00 starting balance, I made a 22 minute call used local access number. ( savings of 56%.) After 22 minute call my balanced dropped down dramatically to $14.60 !!! I called customer service and they told me that they deducted .69 cents weekly maintenance fee ( remember, this is only my first day )..then they adjusted my balance to $15.40 minus the .69 cents weekly maintenance fee. Granted, I still $3.91 for the 22 minutes call I made. That's about 18 cents per minute not the promised 11.64 cents per minute!!. Physical Phone Cards sold from the regular stores are 10 cents per minute charges. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! The "pinless dialing" feature that allows you to specify numbers that can call without entering a pin stopped working. I contacted their support and was told because I hadn't recharged my account within 6 months they have disabled that feature. I have $80 in my account but they want $20 to re-enable that feature. Their customer service told me that it was in there terms and conditions, however neither I or they could find where it was stated other than in their customer service manual From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 04-Oct-08 16:21:09 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisUnfortunately, I didn't know about this website...I just feel victim to Nobel.com's false advertizing as well. I purchased a 20.00 card at 2 cents a minute...well, the damn thing lasted me about 60 minutes. So, I, if my math is right, that's about 35 cents a minute - more than 15 times more expensive. Terrible service...very sketchy. Steer clear and buyer beware. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 12-Sep-08 20:29:49 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
