A&E Factory Service

A&E Factory Service A&E Factory Service.
I scheduled an appointment in February via GE Warranty Management for, Monday, March 12 for service to a KitchenAid cooktop. The appointment was scheduled with A&E Factory service well in advance. On the morning of March 12 I phoned A&E to confirm the appointment, I was informed that the computer network was down, to call back later in the day. When I returned the call in the afternoon of the 12th, I was informed that the appointment I had was scheduled for Sunday the 11th and that service calls are not done on Sunday. I was told the appointment had to be rescheduled for the next available appointment, no sooner than a week. I re-confrmed my appointment with GE, they said the appoinment was for Monday, March 12th. I even had GE make a 3-way call to confirm, that A&E had incorrectly claimed I had scheduled my appointment for Sunday and the error must not have been their fault. I am done with A&E. This is NOT my first unsatisfactory experience with A&E Factory non-Service, but this one confirms that A&E will lie right in front of the customers face while in front of the contract provider. I had A&E assigned as my GE Warranty service provider. I called them and was allowed to talk only to a computer, which I replied as to what the issue was (cycled not completing) and was told the parts would ship. Upon recieving the part (10 days later) I called A&E who apologized for not showing up for an appointment the day before (I wasn't told that I had an appointment scheduled-computer generated apparently). They then scheduled an appointment for a week later. The tech showed up, scratched his head, said he wasn't trained on GE appliances, called two or three people to discuss and see if anyone else was trained and then left, not able or willing to fix it (after showing up at 1:30 for a 8:00-12:00 appt). A week later on Thursday I am scheduled for another tech, I get a call that morning saying they were overbooked and they couldn't make the appointment. The next Tuesday a tech finally comes, replaces the part but it still doesn't fix the problem, the motor isn't working so he says he'll order the part. The part comes a week later on Tuesday and I'm scheduled for another appointment on Thursday between 1-5. 4:45 rolls around on that day and still no one. I call the number and I am told there is no tech in the area today! After being cut off I call back and they say the tech didn't come in today and they had tried to call twice (wrong I was in all day and they did not call) and needed to reschedule. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
