My family has bought a number of Ford cars and trucks from Blue Springs Ford through the years and they are loyal Ford customers. So suffice it to say how disappointed I was when in my mother's time of need after losing her husband, Blue Springs Ford was most uncooperative, greedy and uncaring.

My father leased a truck from this establishment in June of 2006. My father died quite suddenly in February of 2007. A week after his death I asked a sales manager at Blue Springs Ford if we could get out of my father's lease, I was told no, since my mother was also on the lease. I was informed that they would buy the truck back and that my mother would have to pay 3,000.00 to get out of the lease deal. I called another Ford dealer to verify this information and was told by metro Ford (THE HONEST DEALER) that Ford has a program called 'Peace of Mind'. It allows customers who are 62 years of age or older, to lease or finance a new vehicle without the worry of creating a future financial burden for their families. It allows a family to turn their vehicle in and be free of the remaining contractual obligation (you can read about it on any Ford website).

When I approached both a sales manager and eventually the General sales manager, Scott Miller, of this oversight (i.e.; dishonesty) they pleaded ignorance to their own leasing policies. Mr. Miller became irate and said they would do nothing to help my mother and I, even though Ford Credit had told us to turn the truck in to Blue Springs Ford. Mr. Miller who has no right being in a management position because he sorely lacks leadership skills and common decency had us thrown out of the building. He certainly proved how tough he could be with a 60 year old grieving widow and her daughter.

My advice to anyone who is looking to buy a Ford is to buy at Metor Ford and talk to Tyson Young. If it were not for Mr. Young's honesty my mother would have been ripped off.

Blue Springs Ford was not aware of the Ford Motor Credit program of buying back the lease. We had no reason not to do this for the customer since it was Ford"s money. We appologize for the misunderstanding.
