I hired Cornerstone Builders of Eagle River,Wi. to build my new vacation

home. They hired Northern Glass to install a Euroglass shower and glass door.

The first time Dan used the shower on Dec. 27th, it leaked from the door.

Northern came out, made some adjustments, but it still leaked. The service man

told us that he could install a "dam" to keep it from leaking but that most

people don't like it. Dan told him we would talk to Cornerstone. I did not want a

dam installed because that is not what I ordered, and I wanted mine to look

like the one in the model. Well over the course of 4 months, between the

arguing, Northern was out 5 times to try to stop the leak. Cornerstone also came

out and told Northern to fix it without a dam because that's what I paid for.

After each time they came out and made more adjustments, it leaked worse.

Since I have so many other problems with my new home, I decided to let them

install the dam and get it over with. I also told them there would be some kind

of refund or compensation since the unit would not be what I ordered. On April

9th Dan went up to the house and when he looked at the shower with the dam

he could not believe it. It looked awful, the door did not even close

properly, and when he took a shower, water didn't just leak, it sprayed right through

the gap in the door all over the bathroom. Dan emailed Cornerstone and

called Bob at Northern. After not hearing back from either one for a few days, Dan

called Bob back. Dan explained the problem and Bob told him he wasn't going

to do anything about it and to take it up with Cornerstone. After convincing

Bob that we are giving him the chance to fix the problem before calling an

attorney, he responded to Dan, "Ok, I'll come out one more time, but you better

be prepared to put on a bathing suit and get in the shower to show me that

it really does leak" At this ignorant comment, Dan replied "well, we just

won't pay you" Bob responded that he would just come and remove the glass. We

haven't heard from him since and we still have to mop up the floor after each

shower.
