Bridal set

Kay Jewelers Titusville, Florida

On May 25th 2007 my fiancee and I went to the Kay Jewelers to pick out a

bridal set for our up coming wedding in August. After looking over the sets we

agree that we both like the one set we kept coming back too. We purchased the

set and went on our marry way. After one day of looking at it after we got out

of the store, I noticed that the marquise diamond in the center of the ring

looked white.

I took it to my jeweler to have it checked, and much to my surprise I was

told the the diamonds in the ring were of the worst quality..... The next day

we went back to the store and the manager was more than happy to trade the ring

for another one. Looks can fool you that is for sure. As happy as I was to

have finally got a ring that seem to be ok, was I surprised to find out it had

more problems than the first one.

I took that one to my regular jeweler to find out the the center stone was

not even in two of the end prongs! This was a 1/2 carat marquise in the center.

The side diamonds, two of the were cracked in half and about to fall out. The

wrap that went with the ring also had two of the diamonds in that, that only

had one prong holding it in.

Now I head back to the store again for the 3nd time and the manager takes

the ring, looks at it and says "what would you like me to do with it. I was

shocked to say the least. He took the main ring examined it what seem to be

forever, filled out a slip for repair and told me it would be 4 weeks till I get it

back.. He had taken the one ring that we gave back in the first place and gave

me that wrap from it. He told me to hold on to that one till I get my main

diamond back. When I got home, he had given me a smaller diamond carat

wrap........ It sure does take some nerve to do that. I even questioned him about how

come the wrap was of cheaper cost and he told me it was an old tag.

Now, I take the time to call the corporate office to explain my feelings

about all this and how unhappy I was about the whole thing. They told me to go to

another store and pick one out and they will trade it even. When I went to

the store 45 miles away at a mall only to be told I can't get a ring until my

other one is shipped to that location. So I left that store with looking at

rings that I didn't want nor could I even take if I did find something.

At this point I just want my money back and call it a day. I will NEVER ever

go back to that store or will I ever tell anyone to go there. Here I sit

without an engagement ring on my finger and with the feeling that all they did was

try to stealing my money for a piece of junk!

Kathy
