Bi-Lo, Surfside Beach, SC customer service worker... asks for food from customer I was asked to give a customer service employee some crackers and a klondike bar, as she watched them being packed into my bags.. I shop at the store every day (or I used to!) I was shocked and off guard, so I gave her a klondike bar and pack of crackers.. she said she was hungry... I do not work, i am a housewife.. she has a great job, benefits and also a second job.. I was offended but thought she might be ignorant and not know better ( I think I was wrong.) The last straw happened last week.. I purchased a religious book. God's wisdom for women from your book section. It was not put into my cart... (which is not my fault) i realized i didn't have the book.. but i had to go out of town to see my elderly mother last weekend.. and when I went into the store a few days ago.. I saw my book on thecustomer service desk and thought they had put it out for me.. but then I saw there was a card with it (someone was going to give it to somebody as a gift) one of the cashiers told me today that i had left my book and it was in the safe at the customer service desk.. the person at customer service today (who was the person who asked me for food...) was in charge.. she said nothing, when the employee opened the safe to look for my book... it was not there ( of course) a customer did not take it.. A person who will beg food, etc. will be capable of about anything.. I cannot shop in a store where employees act like this. Jennifer L.
