Sony DVD camcorder USA Photonation 425 Huehl Road Northbrook, IL 60062 Telephone: (800) 872-3143 www.USAphotonation.com<http://www.usaphotonation.com/> 800-872-3143 Purchase date: 6/04/07 Problem date: 6/04/07 order#:228713-95500328-S Payment amt: $389.00 Payment method: MC (to be disputed) Sales Rep: Peter Customer Service Reps: George, Mike, Eddie After researching a camcorder I was interested in buying, I finally found the lowest price at UsaphotoNation.com They were about $40 cheaper than the competition. I placed my order over the weekend and called on Monday to find out when it would arrive. I spoke to Peter, who told me if I bought 2 accessories I would get upgraded shipping (3-5 days). He then told me that my battery would only last 20 min. And suggested a 2 hr battery for $59. He told me he could "swap out" the 20min battery for the 2hr one and if I bought another accessory would get the 3-5 day shipping. I told him I had been reading reviews and no one mentioned short battery life. I then specifically asked if that was why they are cheaper, to which he assured me they are all the same and he didn't know why no one complained. But again assured me it was the same camcorder everyone else was selling. I agreed to the "extended battery" and another accessory so I could get the "upgraded shipping." I then went back to read more and realized that USA photo Nation misrepresented their product and that the reviews I had been reading were for the same camera they just sold me with the "upgraded battery." I contacted customer service when I realized I was scammed only to be told that that was the "wholesale package" I was quoted online and when I called in that Peter offered me the "USA package." I told them I was not explained that and that their product was misrepresented and was treated very rudely and that I couldn't cancel because it had already shipped. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they don't come in until after 6pm. I then tried to call back and when asked to speak to a manager, they needed my order # first and transferred me back to sales then back to customer service then back to sales again. After being on hold for 30 min I finally hung up and called again. This time I was told by George, who I spoken to before, that he was the manager and he had no boss, And it was "none of my business who the owners are." I then was hung up on. I have also emailed their customer service with no response as of yet.
