Further to our exchange of messages, I have verified with my bank and I have not yet received the credits for the $25 and $0.93 debited to me earlier. At the same time, my Yahoo Phone Account has been reduced to a paltry 0.72 cents. (See attached file)

I was assured that I would get the credit within a few days. I still don't have my credits back from the bank and all this is because Yahoo messed it all up.

Yahoo has reversed the credit to my Phone-Out account but I have not received the corresponding credit from my bank. Please credit my Yahoo Phone-Out account with $25.93. That is all you can control. Yahoo cannot control or ensure my credit card account giving me credit for the transaction reversal.

Yahoo has no business charging my card with transactions not authorized by me.

Can someone hear me?

nieemadeshmukh: I recharged the phone service for $25 and received a

charge on my credit card for Qatari Riyals 91.25 (Exchange rate of QR

3.65 = USD 1).

Today I received an additional charge for QR 3.40 which at the same

exchange rate works out to $0.93. I entered the same amount in response

to the verification request, but that appeared to be incorrect.

SInce by your own admission, it might take a few days for the amount to

be credited back to me, am I going to be denied the service while Yahoo

is taking time to verify the authenticity of my request? In that case

please refund me my USD 25 immediately. I wish to discontinue using

Yahoo phone-in.

This is no way to treat customers. Please respond immediately and either

restore the service or refund my money.

Cathy: Hello and thank you for contacting Yahoo! Premium Voice Services

Support! Please wait a moment while I review your issue.

Cathy: Hi.

Cathy: Thank you for waiting.

Cathy: I understand that you were having issue on activating your

account.

Cathy: I apologize for the inconvenience.

Cathy: Since you have provided me with the correct verification amount,

I will go ahead and activate your account. Please give me a few minutes

to process your request.

Cathy: Thank you for waiting.

Cathy: I have successfully activated your Phone Out account. Please try

to add funds to your account under the same credit card and you can use

the service right away.

Cathy: Please take note that the previous ($25) that you have added was

cancelled when your account was placed under the verification process

and will fall off from your credit card account in a few days.

Cathy: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Cathy: May I know if you are still there?

nieemadeshmukh: Please wait while I verify the phone-in account

Cathy: One moment please...

nieemadeshmukh: Does this mean that I have to cough up another recharge

amount not knowing whether I will get the refund of $25?

Cathy: I have checked that under the Yahoo! ID "nieemadeshmukh", there

is no Phone In account.

nieemadeshmukh: Yes there is, else why would I be talking to you?

Cathy: I apologize for the inconvenience.

Cathy: May I please ask for the Order ID of your Phone In account?

nieemadeshmukh: One moment

Cathy: I have checked our records using the Yahoo! ID "nieemadeshmukh"

and verified that you only have Phone Out account.

nieemadeshmukh: Copy pasting the details below

nieemadeshmukh: Yahoo! ID: nieemadeshmukh

Service: Yahoo! Phone Out

Order Number: 92219207

Order Date: June 25, 2007

Immediate Charge: $25.00

Cathy: This is your Phone Out account details.

nieemadeshmukh: Now can I have the service back with the credit?

Cathy: It is now active and ready for use.

Cathy: However, this $25 transaction was canceled when your account was

placed under the verification process.

Cathy: This means that Yahoo! did not charge you this amount before you

have verified and activated your Phone Out account.

Cathy: This will soon fall off from your card account in a few days.

Cathy: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Cathy: May I know if you are still there?

Cathy: I am unable to receive a response from you. If assistance is no

longer needed, I will close this window to give way to other customers.

Please try to contact us again at your most convenient time, We are open

24X7 to serve you.

nieemadeshmukh: What guarantee that I will receive the money back? This

will be the first time that my credit card will be receiving a credit!

The card guys are going to get confused and I'm paying for all this.

What a daft idea of Yahoo!
