Target Stores

Target Stores has unfair business practices and violates consumer rights! I

returned something in January with a receipt over 90 days, and had to go

thru hell, to only be able to get one item in exchange for the 5 I returned.

My son was born in November , and we got unnecessary presents that we wanted

to exchange, even with tags on them they run it against your license. After

2 times a year you are black-listed. I got a pair of shorts for my

birthday, they happened to be from target. All I wanted to do was exchange

them for the right size. REJECTED! This seems like a consumer violation!

I can't help- that someone got something for me from target. I didn't try

to get money back, I simply wanted to exchange it for the correct size. It

still had the tags on it. Is there a class-action lawsuit against them yet?

I feel the same way. Totally. It's a shame that people feel frustrated by 'bad' return policies, but stores have only had to implement that because of scammers. I remember being told as a kid - one bad apple ruins it for the bunch. And life isn't fair. Honest, innocent consumers get caught up in the frustration, but that is just the way it goes - blame your peers. Retailers shouldn't be expected to bear the brunt and eat the cost of people that are untrustworthy. Return policies are there for a reason - if you don't like it, don't shop there. And feel free to tell your friends not the shop there either - everyone thinks they are on the quest to single handedly being down super corps. like Target - you, your 10 friends, and even your 20 friends, don't mean anything. Lawsuits? When did every consumer become a lawyer? What class would this class-action lawsuit even fall under? There is no fraudulent activity happening - just a return policy you don't like. Ask any lawyer to take your case - why do you think these stores that everyone is so angry with are still there, still doing business, with the policy you don't like? BECAUSE ITS NOT ILLEGAL!!

It's a shame, I feel the pain. It's frustrating... but the days of companies taking crap from people are over. It's unfortunate that it had to come to this, but the untrustworthy shoppers and complainers have taken it this far.

Instead of complaining to your friends, blame them.

Lawsuit? For what? Target isn't legally required to allow any returns at all, receipt or no.

Why do you think that you deserve special consideration past their 90 day return policy? Why do you think that you deserve to return or even exchange anything at all without proof of purchase?

I think consumers these days have been led to believe that they can do anything, return anything, get by any policy and intimidate stores into doing their bidding no matter what.

Those days are coming to an end due to people who take advantage, scammers, crooks and thieves. The customer ISN'T always right and that's starting to sink in...painfully.

And, no. I don't work for Target.
