complaints Complaint against Verizon Communications My wife and I had a land line phone service. The carrier was Verizon. Our monthly bill was $22.63 one month Verizon cashed a check of ous that was written our for $22.63 as always, and deposited it as $77.63. A call to customer support credited the $77.63 to our account and apologized for the inconvenience. We closed our account a few months later due to a relocation. We then received a letter stating our account closed and paid in full. Over a year later we received a bill for $77.63 and a delinquent account mark on our credit report damaging our perfect credit that has never had a late payment. After fighting with Mrs. Jackson of customer relations, we found that we were not going to win the case. Poor record keeping on Verizon's part led to lies and misinterpreted conversations. We paid the bill as Mrs Jackson promised to contact the credit agencies and remove the posting. 6 months later, I got denied credit for a delinquent account. Verizon was still posted as delinquent on our credit. I called mrs. Jackson and she blamed it on me for not calling her and telling her that I paid my bill. I didn't even owe this bill. I have paid every bill ever sent to me by anyone. Verizon destroyed my perfect credit and stole $132.63 from my bank acount. First, they stole $55.00 by depositing a 22$ check as a 77$ check. then the credited us $77.63 and then reported us for owing it and stole it back.
