Sears Dental(horrible treatment)

Sears Dental Dayton Mall.

I have a big problem with the staff at Sears dental they are very rude and they make you wait atleast 45 minutes from your scheduled appointment time. The Orthodentist told me in the initial evaluation that he could close the spaces in between my teeth, well I took his advise and signed a contract with Sears Dental for $129.00 a month. He never closed the spaces and everytime I came in for my appointments he never changed my wires or even instructed me that I had two cavities that went untreated for several months. The end result lead to him refering me to another dentist in the office for porclein venures, dental bonding which means I would have to come out of pocket 4,000 more dollars that i did not have. I have never been treated so inhuman in my life. I ended up taking the braces off myself. Sears Dental is a BIG waste of time and you will pay alot of money and recieve NO results. Please dont wate time or money with them. The staff treats you horrible, they dont

know that patients, you will wait an extended amount of time, and the final result is your teeth look worst after you leave. They created more spaces so they could refer my to someone else in the office, so everyone in the office can make a profit from you. Thats really wrong. Now Im going in to get braces from a real professional. What a waste!

Had a cap replacement done at Sears Dental Dayton Mall. They did a good job with me. Yes there is a wait...this is an HMO which is America's version of government healthcare. The staff treated me okay. I'm not discounting your comments since they don't know their patients. This is a cattle business and that's how they keep costs lower than other practices. Keep that in mind. You get what you pay for. After my current dental insurance contract is up, I'm never using a Dental HMO again. I can't fault this practice who provides the level of service based upon what they are paid.

Sears Dental in AKRON, OH:

My daughter got braces back in May of 2006; I was downsized at work and lost our insurance. Sears refused to treat her or take her braces off! It's been over 1 year and their still on. Her wires cut her, a bracket broke and Sears could care less.Yet they are continously billing my previous provider saying she's recieved services when in fact they won't even see her unless I come up with $1,000.00!! I was able to get her on Healthy Start (Unison Health Care) which will pay for braces, but SEARS won't even accept it!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!! I am currently seeking legal counsel to see what my options are.
