Maytag Refrigerator My stainless steel French door refrigerator with all the bells and whistles cost me $465 for a new main control consul after only 2 years. This is not acceptable for any new appliance of supposedly good quality. This frig is part of a complete 5 piece set of kitchen appliances and is the second set of appliances that I have purchased from Maytag (I sold the first set with my previous house). In spite of all the money I have spent on their products in the last 5 years, Maytag customer service took about 8 weeks to respond to my letter of concern and then weren't very sympathetic simply stating that the part wasn't covered under warranty and that no compensation was available. I wrote back telling them about all of the complaints about their products on your website and that I would be adding mine to it as well. I have not received any response from them. As I also stated to them, I would not touch another Maytag product or any other associated brand owned by their parent company, Whirlpool. Obviously, I wish that I had seen your website with all the complaints prior to purchasing Maytag. Hope this helps other consumers.
