The travel agent that booked our vacation in March made a $976..00 MISTAKE which went unnoticed by the agency. I discovered the mistake the beginning of June. The agent charged us land for an additional person. When we attempted to address the mistake we were very careful and diplomatic about how we questioned our agent, as it is always difficult to discuss monies and she had been nasty previously. We phrased it by asking if it's possible the rates dropped because we were finding different amounts listed for our trip, all of which were comparable with each other, but varied greatly with our price. It was obvious that an extra person was counted, our son who is 12 and should not have been charged. I had gone in person to inquire and our agent was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was told that she could not figure this out with me standing there. I would have sat,but she kept files on her chair and I was never offered a seat. I have been traveling for business and personal for many years and I have never heard of an agent who can't work numbers or locate information with a customer in person. She was extremely defensive and obviously irratated. When we didn't hear from her near the close of the day we called her. We were rudely told that she was waiting to hear from GOGO and she didn't know. We questioned wheather she could simply rewrite our trip for the correct number of people if she didn't receive a confirmation. Of course we knew she could. She was extremely rude, never acknowledged she made a mistake, never once apologized, or thanked us for our understanding. We have had agents make mistakes before and they handled it appropriately, so we returned to them. The only reason we switched this year is because we stumbled across an Apple price and Liberty doesn't' t handle Apple. We never did get the Apple price, but felt embarrassed to go elsewhere because she put some time into it. I will never again return to Fantasy or recommend it to anyone. Imagine a $1000.00 mistake that I fortunately found and was treated as though I was bothering them, and they were doing me a favor. No apologies, no accountability, no restitution. Friends told us that they should have at least beat the price or received a room upgrade and an apology. The price was corrected. I THANKED HER, and she told me I might want to mail my final payment instead of coming in!
