Jefre Bridal - Complaint I went to Jefre Bridal to order bridesmaids dresses on Rt. 22 in Greenbrook and this was the worst mistake I could have ever made.
I got a phone call a few days ago from Jefre saying that he was waiting for one of the bridesmaid's deposits and that he hadn't yet placed the order for the other dresses. I was floored because if he places the order now, he said the dresses won't be in until September!!! We were in the shop in FEBRUARY. It's now JUNE! My wedding is October 6th and if there are any major alterations, I'm screwed! I can't take that kind of chance.
I asked him why he waited so long to call me, and he didn't have a valid reason. He said he thought I knew all of the dresses had to be ordered at the same time because of dye lots. How am I supposed to "know" this??!! I'm not in this business!! I don't get married every year!!! Had I been informed even in March, I would have paid for the last dress myself - no problem! It takes 2-4 months to order a dress - I knew that. Why did he think I was in the shop in February??
I called Jefre back later in the evening to cancel my order. I left a message and he never called me back. I tried calling again the following day and the phone was either always busy or went unanswered. I went to see him in the shop and he was nowhere to be found. The salesperson there called him. He had the nerve to say that if I cancel, he would deduct $25. FOR HIS ERROR? FOR HIS MISMANAGEMENT OF THIS ACCOUNT? The reason he didn't call me back was because he wanted to wait long enough to place an actual order so that he could keep the business. He knew very well that I was dissatisfied.
Well, I'm in the process of filing a law suit. I'm demanding 100% of the money be returned. No exceptions. Even if he could get the dresses here in September (which I doubt), I don't feel confident in his services. If I need alterations or the dress was ordered incorrectly, I will be in a very bad situation.
I have no faith in his service and I highly recommend that people shop elsewhere. I don't know how he can stay in business with this quality of service.
