Owner refuses to refund $40 cash, because,"I don't want to!" he finally

said.

I purchased a bottle of Superior Vitamins Colostrum 750mgs. 60 capsules for

22.99 and a bottle of All Natural Lutein, 20 mgs. 30 capsules on 6-16-07 in

the morning at Inman Health Foods in Edison, NJ. I went to get a cash refund

because Colonia Natural Pharmacy had Colustrum Plus 960 mg. 120 capsules for

24.99 and the Lutein is cheaper in Walgreens. The owner refused to refund me

the money even though I had paid cash and had a receipt and had not opened the

products. He even went as far as calling the police to intervine. He offered

me a store credit and told me store policy was no refunds. His posted policy

was small and partially covered by displays on the counter. It clearly said

cash refunds were up to the owner's discretion. Even though I was speaking

directly to the owner, he said, "I don't want to give you the money back" he was

only offering a store credit. I told him it was out of my way and that I

would not be returning.

The $40.00 obviously meant more to the owner than a happy customer.

Is this Store Policy valid? I always believed that as long as you returned

the items unused, have a receipt and paid cash- not credit, that you would be

entitled to a full refund!

There was no report or complaint written down. Officer told me he could not

make the store owner refund me the money.
