I hate direct tv!!! I was living with my daughter and her husband in

Arizona and we got direct tv (in my name) I got a job in another


State and kept it on with them for their daughter. The bill was paid by

them. They got divorced and my daughter moved out. Her


Husband said he would return the equipment and pay the remainder of the

bill, but didn't. Ok, that was his and my problem, but I


Didn't realize that was going on because he said he had returned the

equipment. I checked my checking account online one Monday


And I was $600.00 overdrawn! Direct TV had taken the money for the

equipment and bill out of my checking account. I didn't receive


A bill ever stating that I owed this or that they would take this

action. They never took me to court, no communication from Direct TV


To me at any time. I almost had a stroke! I had to go get a loan to

cover what they took out because I had paid my bills the Friday


Before. Plus fees from my bank for checks coming through. I told them

that I had never received any correspondence from them=20


Regarding this and they said that a couple of weeks prior they had

changed their policy for getting their money. Therefore, I had never


Signed anything authorizing them to do this and I was never contacted in

any way telling me they were going to. After a lot of loud


Conversation with my son-in-law the equipment was returned. Direct TV

had told me that they would credit my account back the $310


For the equipment, once returned. Now they are telling me that they did

receive it but I only get a credit of $59.43. I don't need a


Credit as I don't have their service and never will. I want my money

back. I am going to try and find out if I have a case to take them to


Court. I don't see how they can change their billing practice without

notifying me and just take money out of my checking account because


They want to. This has caused my a great deal of stress and my health

has been awful the last couple of weeks because of all of this
