Petsmart Gift Card Promotion

I emailed this to Petsmart MANY months ago:


Hi. Recently, I was browsing through your website and

came across your Free $5 GiftCard with Purchase

promotion at petsmart.com/rebate. I decided to take

part in this promotion, so later, I went to PetSmart,

and purchased a 7 lb. bag of Purina ONE cat food. At

checkout, thinking I would get a number to submit my

rebate, I asked the cashier about this, and, being a

trainee as she had earlier informed me, she called a

co-worker to come and answer my question. I told her

my issue, and, in an irritable fashion, replied,

saying something along the lines of "we aren't

directly linked to that promotion, so we couldn't help

you." (um, hello! you are the company. how are you not

connected to it?) So I went back to your website to

try and submit my rebate and discovered that I was

right--I needed a rebate form when paying for the

product. The ordeal at the PetSmart store lasted a

good fifteen minutes. I called 1-888-941-2915, the

number posted at the earlier mentioned URL, and was

first given the option to stay on the line and hold,

or to give my information so a representative could

contact me at a later time. I chose to hold, and after

about ten minutes of doing so, and all the time a

recording, interrupting soothing music, was telling me

that my call was first in line. Was there ever anyone

on the other end of the line? And after all this time,

I was redirected to my original variable option: to

leave my information and later be contacted. I myself

am becoming increasingly frustrated at the difficulty

of submitting a PetSmart rebate and believe I deserve

more than a $5 GiftCard for all the trouble this has

put me through. The following is everything my receipt

contains, and I hope it will help you in processing my

request for a well-deserved GiftCard. I'd scan and

email it to you, but I don't have a scanner. I'd be

happy to send this receipt by postal mail upon your

request and refund for shipment. In any event, here is

all that is on my receipt. Any dashes are for

organizational purposes only; items in brackets are

for identification purposes; dashes and brackets,

therefore, are not on the actual receipt.

What a loser. You had coupons for $13.oo of the stuff. And you want $5 gift card and extra for the trouble? Ridiculous, no wonder they never got back to you....shame on you
