Afni Inc. - Bogus Bill

Today I received a collection notice from Afni, Inc., PO Box 3427,

Bloomington, IL 61702 telling me my account, which is not my account, has

been acquired by their agency for collection. They listed the original

creditor as Verizon New York Inc., Balance Due $66.98. I have never lived in

area code 914. I called Verizon and they had no record of the number going

back two years and no record of me being associated with any number which

has had a billing issue. These people are scam artists and should be

stopped. They even have the nerve to put their New York City Department of

Consumer Affairs License #1072175 on the letter to make them look

legitimate. Do not send these people money. I feel bad for all the people

out there who do not have the sense or the access to a computer to check

these people out.
