I found Hartford to be impossible to work with. After waiting a long time

for a response in the middle of the hot Houston summer, they ultimately

refused to do warranty work because I would not pay high charges for

superfluous items. I had two independent and trusted HVAC specialists tell

me that they had never heard of some of the things they tried to charge me.

When I called Hartford to try to get them to just do the warranty work, they

told me to quit wasting their time. As it turns out, my independent,

qualified HVAC technician discovered that they misdiagnosed the problem and

the part they wanted to "repair" was in fine working order." If you have

First American Home Warranty and you need to have service done, tell them

you do not want Hartford to come. On a side note, the tech at Hartford told

me that he would never use a home warranty because they are a rip-off. I

don't think that's true unless you encounter companies like Hartford

Services in Sugar Land.
