I bought some expensive kitchen cabinets from Dewils in 2003. Two years later a tall sliding pantry cabinet failed catastrophically. The shelves collapsed while the cabinet was closed completely blocking the cabinet from opening. The cause of this collapse was cheap plastic shelf pins that could not support much weight. I had several near misses before the final collapse. I complained to Dewils in 2005 and was told to take my problem to the cabinet seller. The seller told me this was Dewils problem and that they would contact me. After several attempts to contact Dewils by the seller and by myself, none of which were answered, I finally received a call from their representative offering to take responsibility for repairing the cabinets. Nothing happened after that despite repeated complaints on my part and repeated promises from Dewils. Finally, a month ago Dewils shipped me new some new cabinet parts and promised again to have somebody fix them. Again nothing

else has happened. Now a second cabinet has failed in exactly the same way and I hove no kitchen storage and food is trapped inside. I would stongly urge anyone remodeling their kitchen to stay clear of Dewils cabinets and I suggest that dealers avoid carrying this brand. Dewils does not stand up for their merchandise.
