whirlpool dishwasher

whirlpool dishwasher I recently purchased a dishwasher from Home Sales, a telephone merchant located in Brooklyn at 718-241-3272. I paid a plumber $290 to remove the old machine and install the new one. When he went to test the new one, it leaked water in my basement. I called Whirlpool and was told to call a service man. At this point I already use 2 vacation days to deal with this problem. The service man said the motor assembly was not installed properly and the unit was damaged. I called Whirlpool again and was told to call the dealer. I am still waiting for the dealer to get back to me about if and when they will exchange the unit. I just called Whirlpool again to complain about the delay and they said it is not their responsibility. Please let me know where else to turn. I have an old sick parent at home as well as a full time job. Being without a dishwasher is a real hardship right now.
