hey.. im not exactly sure if im doing this right.. below is information that happened at a circuit city..its kind of a rough draft of everything in the order that it happened..im extremely upset and have never gone this far with any complaint.. excuse some of the typos, or the random notes.. i wanted to explain all this information while on the phone with them... but they basically refused to file it.

ive never gone this far with complaints and stuff.. but this is absolutely ridiculous.. i have this all written down in front of me.. so i dont forget anything
-heard about the deal from friend (5 bucks) unadvertised deal
-called up cc in new tampa
-wanted to buy a few of these..before july 3rd which was mt brother b/d..and wanted to give him one as a gift.
-employee lied to me about price (said he scanned it for a price check and it was ringing up as 32.99..when the actural advertised promotion is for 19.99)
-same friend told me he went back and got 10 more for 5 bucks each
-called up cc 800 number and explained everything ive said thus far ( was lied to) complaint was filed
-called cc 800 # again..explained everything yet again.. cc 800 # operator tried calling local cc to speak to sarah.. it was 9:30 at this time and local cc doesnt open till 10.. cc 800# operator gave me a reference # and told me to call back around 10..when theyre opened..i asked her if everything i stated during this call was on file so i wont have to relay it all again to another operator..she said yes..called back and gave refernce #.. new operator made me explain the whole situation yet again.
-operator then called local cc and spoke to sarah..i was on hold for another 15 mins or so..he told me to call my local store and speak to her..he was also very hard to understand..
-called up local cc again..to verify that i was the one who called the 800# and was on hold while the cc 800# operator was speaking with u about this situation..spoke to customer service manager (sarah)
-explained all the ive gone through, she specifically told me that they are out of stock and when they do restock she will give me them for 5 dollars for my troubles..she told me that there would be more on the next truck.. she guaranteed me this price..( i asked her if she would like to give me some sort of confirmation number.. so that when i go to pick them up.. it will make things alot easier.. but she said no..and just to call up before hand and ask for her) i told her that i wanted 4 or 5 of them..was also on hold for a total of 30 to 45 mins as she was checking stuff in the computer. (stocks of other locations) i had explained to her that i dont have a credit card so i cant order it online.
-filled in email address on cc.com to see when item would be back in stock
-recieved email about 36 hours later..that it was back in stock
-have copy of this email
-called local cc again and spoke to sarah.. told her the website says the item is back in stock..she said she sees it in the computer..but doesnt know where they are..she said that they arent expecting any on the next truck.. and that whatever is left in the stores is the last of them.. and they didnt have any there.
- i said to her.. wel u guaranteed me that they would be on the next truck and that i could get them for that price..she was denying that she said that they would be on the next truck but not denying that i would get them for that price.
- i then said to her well if its saying its in stock and u dont have it there.. i should be entiteled to a 24 dollar gift card..she said that policy only works if u order it then pick it up and its not ready in 24 minutes. i said well..if i had a cc i would obviously have ordered it.. and the outcome would of been that its not in stock..and then i would have gotton the gift card..she had nothing to say after that. then put me on hold for about 15 minutes..
-she said sorry about the hold.. i searched in the computer and we have 37 of them at our brandon store..and thats the only way i could get them
-i asked her if they could possibly be sent over from there to here for my convenience..she said no..and she also said they cant be ordered online anymore either.
-i explained that the store in brandon is an hour away from me
-she said im sorry
-i finally agreed..and said thank u.. and that im sorry for being difficult..she said no problem.. she gave me the # for cc in brandon.
-i called them up..the customer service on the phone there was 100 times better than the store in new tampa.
-i had to explain this entire situation YET AGAIN.. the employee in this department was very nice and understanding..he told me he had to speak to his manager.. and that they would have to call the new tampa cc to verify this..i was on hold for about 10 minutes.. but the employee in that department checked back with me 2 or 3 times and was very curtious.
-he got back on the phone with me and asked how many i wanted..i said originally i wanted 4 but my brothers b/dhas passed now so i only need 3..he said he can only give me one at this price.. i told him that sarah did not give me a limit..he told me that he would put 3 on hold for me..i told him i live in wesley chapel and its about an hour drive..
-i told him id be up there at 3pm..he said he goes on brak then
-i asked him if he could put them on hold in the front with a note and my name.. for my convenience.. he said he would do that..
- i asked him for directions there. and he gave them to me..i told him hes been a big help..and very polite.. he said thank u.
-i got there and went to the customer service desk.. the employee there had very long brown hair and goatee..i told him i had 3 mp3 players on hold..he said they werent up there.. i said well i was guaranteed they were there under my name with a price of 5 dollars each..i was waiting for a few minutes as he looked for them..he said theyre not there.. i said i just traveled from wesley chapel.. so ur gonna have to bring ur manager up here.. he said to hold on ..he called the manager from the phone..i was wating for another 5 mins, he then located the item.. there was only one on hold.. i said that there are supposed to be 3..he said well theres only 1 here.. i just setteled for that.. it rang up as 5 dollars i paid and said thankyou.. he didnt say anything back.. he was very rude and uncoporative..he looked very tired..and was definitly grumpy.
-i always clock my miles before traveling far.. i did get lost as im not familiar with the brandon area..my total mileage each way was 32 miles with a total of 64 miles
-called cc 800# again got new case #.. poor customer service..hard to understand them..explained everything yet again..placed on hold over and over
total hold time was probably 20-30 mins. i explained everything to yet another person.. this person was a woman and claimed to be the supervisor of the entire place. she just kept saying 'i apologize but we cant issue anything".. i kept asking if she was the supervisor and she kept responding with "this is the highest level center" or something.. i must have asked 5 seperate times.. also i didnt hear any typing so im assuming it was either recorded or shes just there to ignore me and say "im sorry we cant issue u anything"
bottom line- i had a verbal agreement with several people..i wasted time,gas,minutes on my phone, and im very stressed out..im now searching the web for some sort of way to be reimbursed. there has to be something! they cant treat people like this..
and thats it.
this has been hell.
but i was guaranteed 3 of these mp3 players..and i also think i should be entitled to a 24 dollar gift card.. i dont see them finding the people who bought the 10's of 1000's of these things and asking them for the difference!
isnt it easier to just let the customer get them at this price..
